This was an Indian Wedding at the Crestview Function Hall in Woburn. Families of the bride from India flew in for the wedding. An Indian Wedding is a 3 day event. The first day is the Mehndi which is the tatooing of the arms and feet of the bride. The second day was the Sangeet which is like the pre-wedding party. In the Sangeet, relatives, families and friends of the bride and groom are present. In this indian wedding, ladies held a blanket horizontally to signify a tent. the bride and groom were under this blanket and people washed their hands, feet, arms, face , the whole body with a sponge. It probably signifies cleansing before the marriage. We have a video of this interesting event. You can see it in our video section. The third day of the celebration is the actual wedding where the groom arrives on a horse.

This is the Sri Lakshmi Hindu Temple in Ashland. I was the photographer for this wedding of Dr Shambhavi Venkataraman and Dr. Tirupathi Venkatesh. As the wedding was a two day event, I took aroun 1,200 pictures.

The shot above was taken in Revere. This was in the bride's preparation. If the groom is near like 5 minutes away, we can probably cover the groom's preparation. But the concentration is the bride. Regarding the bride's dress, they told me that it came from India and custom-made. Notice the jewels in the dress.

The above is Marie and Haoul's wedding that was done in Crestview function hall in Woburn. We isolated Marie's picture and overlapped it to another pacific view background. When Marie saw this montage, she says that she was like selling vacation packages or selling airline tickets to Aruba.
